Is Deen (religion) means State?!
Is Deen (religion) means State?!
Some Jamaate islami activist used to claim, Ayat 42:13, is a best example for establishing Islamic state and hence, JI working for establishing Islamic state. Firstly I would like to bring my readers attention to the meaning of Religion, Deen. In Islam, religion means the way of life which is prescribed by Allah, but according to Maududi it means State. Here start the all differences between a Muslim and a Jamaate Islami follower. While understanding the term 'establish religion' a Muslim understand that he/ she has to follow/maintain the religion of Islam in his/her life, the way of life prescribed by Allah, the Almighty God but a Jamaate Islami follower understands that he/ she has to establish the Islamic state since their leader, Maududi had given such a meaning for the term Deen as STATE in his book (Quran ki Chaar Bunyaadi Istilaahen page No.96). So basically a Muslim and a Jamaate Islami follower understand Islam absolutely far different way in their day to day life.
In fact, most of the ordinary followers of Jamaate Islami do not have any idea about these types of deviant beliefs of their leader, Maududi as well as others and apart from this; there are very strict conditions on every Jamaate Islami follower to abide the order of their Ameer (leader). Due to this phenomenon in the organization, they have been brainwashed and kept as not capable to think and analyze any thing other than the order of Jamaate Islami leaders like Christian, Shiia, Jews etc who are considering the word of their leaders as ultimate. (There is even a proverb in Malayalam; "Pathiriyude vaaku Nazraaniku Matham" like "Maududiyude Vaaku Jamaathukaranu Matham") In a great extent, the leaders of JIH have been succeeded to hold the brain of JI followers as not working by interpreting the Quran and Sunna timely according to their worldly benefit as termed as Ijithihad. It is very much relevant to remember the saying of prophet salallahu wa alaihawasalam now; obedience is only in goodness not in falseness. I would like to remind this saying of prophet (peace be upon him) to all people who trying to be a true Muslim.
Let me add some qualities of Muslim or such qualities must be followed in their every sphere of life. That can be termed as 'RESPONSIBILITY'. A Muslim should follow his/her responsibility according to its preferences as it follows.
1 .Responsibility to Allah, the most important.
2. Responsibility to oneness
3. and responsibility to family and society
Allah ordered to the all Mankind to worship Him alone without associating partners to Him. This is the first and most important responsibility of a Muslim since Allah ordered it.
Then it goes to oneness. Being a Muslim we have to abstain from all innovations which ultimately will go to astray. Means we have to safeguard our body from HELL FIRE.
Second and third goes to family and society. If we analyse this responsibility based on Quran and Sunna we can understand that each and every individual must give first preference to save him/ her from hell fire. Where ever you go in the world you can live by fulfilling this goals settled by Allah, the Almighty God. This is the practical Islam prescribed by Allah and sent it through many prophets (peace be upon them all) and not the Maududi's unpractical Islam of establishing Islamic state in the world. Alhamdulillah we, many Muslims have been lived and passed away from this world by accepting these true principles of ISLAM, the religion of ALLAH.
Let us come to the Ayat 42: 13. Its translation of yoosuf Ali is:
The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).Now you see Mohsin khan's translation of this same ayat:
He (Allâh) has ordained for you the same religion (Islâm) which He ordained for Nûh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad SAW), and that which We ordained for Ibrahîm (Abraham), Mûsa (Mosesý) and 'Iesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion). Intolerable for the Mushrikûn , is that to which you (O Muhammad SAW) call them. Allâh chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides unto Himself who turns to Him in repentance and in obedience. (Ash-Shura 42:13)Jamaate Islami brother has given translation of this ayat 42:13 as follows
“He hath ordained for you that religion which He commended unto Noah, and that which We inspire in thee (Muhammad), and that which We commended unto Abraham and Moses and Jesus, saying: Establish the religion, and be not divided therein. Dreadful for the idolaters is that unto which thou callest them. Allah chooseth for Himself whom He will, and guideth unto Himself him who turneth (toward Him). (42:13)We Muslims cannot see much difference in these three translations of Ayat except brackets but Jamaate Islami activist found and hence misunderstood that it is an Ayat for evidence to establish the Law/Hukum of Allah in the world. He has summarized it as giving a name shirk akber followed by some of his parties claim i.e. 'ruling by other than that which Allah has revealed is a form of shirk akbar (major shirk)'. We cannot blame him because he has understood Islam from the Maududi's Islam! As I mentioned before about the meaning of Deen given by Maududi (deen means state) he, being a Maududi's follower cannot think other than as Maududi said. As I told before their "sovereignty of brain" has submitted to Maududi and Jamaate Islami Leaders. These poor jamaate Islami followers are working as a nonfunctional replica of something else as just like a toy work only after getting tune. Let us seek refuge from this people.
I request them to carry out a social movement like they had done against Coca Cola Company recently to get back their "sovereignty of brain" from their LEADERS.
But unfortunately these Jamaate Islami activist/followers have one disease in their heart, if we try to put off it that will regenerate with more strength. As Allah said about such disease in Quran:
In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allâh has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. (Al-Baqarah 2:10)We can only escape from such diseases when we start to think about Islam from the perspective of Quran and Sunna. Otherwise Allah will not guide us. May Allah save us from such diseases
